Sunliss Keratin Treatment

Let me start by saying we are not friends with my hair. We sort of have a love/hate relationship. It never behaves and it never makes up its mind ... is it curly(?) ... is it straight (?) ... or is it wavy (?) ... who knows? Totally mixed personality here!

Anyway, I decided to do something for it, and by "something" I mean a keratin treatment. Of course to get such a treatment in a hair salon you need around 250 euros or more depending on the density and length of your hair.

So, I  searched a bit on the internet and came across various brands of keratin treatments and decided to buy a kit and give it a try at home. I bought "Sunliss Keratin Treatment" and tried it on my mom's hair and mine.

I have to say I'm very pleased with the results, at least up till now. My hair is not pin straight (I don't like it like that anyway), but when I do use a hair straightener my hair remains straight until then next time I wash it.

Well, for me, this is success! Have you ever had a treatment like this? Share your thoughts in the comments :)

Early morning workout!

Rise and shine!!!

Goodmorning everybody! I am very excited today, this morning I woke up, did a bit of stretchig to warm up and then I did Zuzana's "Hotel room workout", amazing! You break a sweat in only 20' of exercise and you can really feel the burn! I am hooked with her site and her whole aproach to fitness and healthy eating. Plus, her way of living her life together with her hubby is absolutely awesome and very inspiring!

One more thing I'm excited about is a new purchase I made last night. Zuzana is using Gymboss Interval Timer and it comes in very handy when you're doing her workouts so I decided to buy it last night. I hope it will be here by the end of next week!

Protein powders!

I'm having my protein powder every day and I'm loving it! Even more after I discoverd April's blog where I found lots of new ways to use it instead of the typical: mix with water or your favorite beverage and drink. Since I'm lactose intolerant I prefer isolates and of chocolate flavour (see chocaholic, hehe!). My favorite up till this moment is:

ZERO CARB PROTEIN

I love its taste and I usually use it in my favorite recipes from April's blog:

Honestly, they are amazing!

I also bought PVL ISO-GOLD and plan to use it after I finish my SRO.

I've tried it and the taste is good, it contains some lactose but they have added lactase enzymes so no bloating!
I'll let you know if I come across another protein that I like.

So, what is your favourite protein powder? How do you use it?

New obsession: color contacts!

I always wanted to try color contacts, but I was always a little skeptical and maybe afraid that I wouldn't be able to put that thing in my eye!  About a month ago, a friend of suggested I should try a pair just for fun and guess what ... now I 'm hooked!

Up till now I've tried to brands:
- Freshlook Colorblends in Green
- Bausch & Lomb Soflens in Amazon Green

So here comes a quick review on both:
Freshlook Colorblends in Green

Freshlook Colorblends in Green
The color looks very natural on my medium brown eyes and the contacts are very comfortable. The pupil hole is quite big but it blends in so it's not too obvious. I like to use a few drops of "tears naturale" in the morning when I put them on and I can barely feel that I'm wearing them. Overall, I'm very pleased with them and I'll definetely buy thema again. I also tried the colors "grey", "sterling grey" and "blue" but I didn't like them on my eyes, I think they lookes too fake.

This color is amazing! Exactly what the name says! And the pupil hole is a bit smaller than the one Freshlook contacts have so your natural eye color is not that obvious. When I first put them on I said OMG the color is a-ma-sing and I thought I would be repurchasing them over and over again, BUT later in the day (actually a couple of hours later) they started feeling too dry and the moved around every time I blinked :-(
This is very unfortunate because other than that I loved the color and they they looked on me.

Other lenses I want to try:
- Solotica Hidrochrm in Ice and in Mel
- Acuvue 2 Colours in Grey
9mmsfx in Natural Blue
- 9mmsfx in Natural Blue (of course these are off-limit since they cost $800.00 a pair!)

Do you like like color contacts? Which are your favorite?
