Essie deal
Ok, I'm out for an evening walk with my boy friend and as I walk by from kiosk selling magazines and other I stuff, something catches my eye!
I turn around and ... I was right! It was an Essie nail polish! For Essie's 30 year anniversary, Marie Claire was giving away an Essie nail polish with the December's issue. You can find a total of 11 different shades. For now I got two magazines, so two shades, for 5.50€ each.
I haven't tried these yet but I'm just so excited to find an Essie nail polish bottle for only 5.50€! It's usually around 12.00€ here, so you can understand my excitement :)

When I try them I'll post picture!
What's your favorite shade from Essie? I'd love to hear from all of you :)

Gel polishes: Geleration *NOTORIOUS* by Jessica
The color I picked is "Notorious", it's a lovely color for winter just what I was looking for!
See for yourselves:
Notorious in direct sunlight |
Notorious in direct sunlight |
Notorious in direct sunlight |
Notorious in daylight (not direct sunlight) |
Notorious in the shadow |
I'm very pleased with the results! I love the color and the shine, it's amazing! I can't wait to try other colors too :)
What about you? Have tried gel-polishes, and if you have, what do you guys think? If you haven't, are you going to?

Gel ... or polish ... or both?!
I don't remember when I first started painting my nails. How young was I? Maybe too young, oh well. What I do remember is that I always hated the fact that I had to wait and wait and then wait some more for the polish to dry. Don't you guys hate that? I also remember hoping to that someone would come up with a nail polish that would dry under a UV lamp and would be shiny and ready to go!
Fast forward a few years later and ... ta da! Nail polish hybrids :)
At first I thought "this is too good to be true". But you know what it actually is true! These gel-polishes apply like regular polishes but the stay on longer (2-3 weeks) and they remain super shiny and scratch-free until you decide to remove them.
I'm planning to go to a beauty fair this weekend and some of the brands I'm going to look for are:
Have you ever tried any gel-polish hybrids? Share your experiences in the comments.
See you all soon :)

Product Review: TheraMed white booster
The only reason I bought this is because of a Buy One Get One offer that was going on about a year ago. Needless to say I've been buying it ever since :)
Now, my teeth is relatively white anyway, but there is always room for that extra boost. Well, that is what you get by using this toothpaste. You see, it's not a whitening toothpaste per se. What it does is it makes you teeth appear to whiter because it sort of leaves a bluish cast after you brush your teeth. Of course, the bluish cast is not noticable, but it is what makes your teeth appear whiter than they really are!
I definitely recommend this one! Give it a try and let me know haw you like it :)

Product Review: John Frieda || Frizz-Ease 3-day straight
Trying to keep my hair frizz-free is an everyday challenge for me. Humidity is my enemy and we've got plenty of it where I live!
I came across this product about a month ago, and to be honest I was expecting a lot since it always seems that my hair just doesn't want to behave, no matter what I use.
However, I was pleasantly surprised with this one. According to the directions, you are supposed to apply it on towel-dried hair, blow dry and then use a straightening iron to perfect the results. But, since I'm not a girl who follows rules (or directions for that matter), the way I do it is this:
I have to admit that I'm going to buy this one again, and this means a lot, since I rarely (or never) buy hair products twice.

- Apply the product on towel-dried hair
- Let hair air-dry completely
- Leave hair as is (for a tousled look), or use straightening iron
- To complete the look, just apply some silicone or serum to the ends to moisturize and add shine
I have to admit that I'm going to buy this one again, and this means a lot, since I rarely (or never) buy hair products twice.
